FOB - Free On Board

Under FOB, delivery is completed when the goods are loaded onto the vessel arranged by the buyer at the agreed shipment port. The seller handles export clearance and bears cost and risk before loading. The buyer arranges main freight, insurance if needed, unloading, import clearance, duties, and destination-side costs.

CIF - Cost, Insurance And Freight

Under CIF, the seller books shipping space, pays normal freight to the destination port, and arranges cargo insurance according to the agreed level. Risk still transfers at the shipment port after loading, so CIF should be treated as a document-based trade term rather than a guarantee that the seller carries all destination-side risk.

DDP - Delivered Duty Paid

Under DDP, the seller may quote a delivered solution including international freight, customs-related coordination, duties, taxes, and local delivery where the service is available. DDP availability depends on product type, destination country, battery restrictions, customs requirements, and logistics provider capability.

How witdriv Confirms Delivery Terms

  • Confirm product list, battery type, power capacity, carton or pallet requirements, and container loading plan.
  • Confirm origin port, destination port or delivery address, consignee information, import requirements, and required documents.
  • Confirm whether the buyer or seller controls the main freight, insurance, customs clearance, and destination delivery.
  • Record the final term, cost boundary, risk boundary, and document responsibility in the quotation or contract.
