Project Overview

This project involves a high-performance, 12kW split-phase residential PV system custom-designed for a private residence in Jamaica. Driven by an unstable local grid, frequent power outages during hurricane seasons, and high electricity costs, the homeowner provided a detailed household load analysis with the aim of acquiring a solar-plus-storage system of sufficient capacity to meet the home's daily electricity needs while ensuring reliable, round-the-clock backup power.

Based on the provided load data, we configured a tailored solution comprising twelve 600W solar modules, a 12kW 48V split-phase hybrid inverter, and a 48V 330Ah lithium-ion battery. Fully compatible with Jamaica's standard 120/240V split-phase grid infrastructure, this system effortlessly meets the power demands of household air conditioning, refrigerators, water pumps, lighting fixtures, and various daily appliances—thereby achieving the dual objectives of energy self-sufficiency and emergency backup power supply.
